       I want to close with the fact of what Jesus told us at the end of his great sermon, the Sermon on the Mount, and I think it brings some good insight into what I have talked about today with God’s Word. Jesus said in Matthew chapter 7, starting in verse 24: ““Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it” (Matthew 7:24-27, ESV). The words we are putting into our lives matter. If we will follow Jesus’ Words, the things he says to us, our lives will be built upon a firm foundation. When trouble comes in our lives, we won’t have to worry because our house is built on the rock. We have God on our side, and we are anchored in the Truth.
