Even though the Bible appears to have been written by human authors, in reality it was written by God himself. He is the Divine Author. We have to believe that if we are going to believe that His Word is special and above any other writings that come from the hands of humans. God used humans to write his Book, as that’s the way he chose to write it, but in reality they are his Words. Don’t get caught up in a human way of thinking, in a human perspective. But I want to look at the importance and greatness of God’s Word today by examining a passage in Psalms, particularly Psalm 19. The Psalm was written by David, the man who was after God’s own heart. And he explains to us how great God’s Word really is. Like David tells us here in Psalm 19, that God’s Word, or law, is “perfect,” “sure,” and “right.” One of the first things you’ll come to understand when you first become a Christian is that God’s Word, the Bible, is perfect. It is perfect in what it says. That is, there are no flaws or errors found in it. You should have been taught that by someone right after you become saved.
