       Next verses in Romans 6: “For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin” (5-7, ESV). Remember, this life isn’t all there is. We don’t just live for this life. We are often entangled and saturated in the thoughts of this life, even for us Christians, but that’s not the way it is supposed to be for us. We have to learn, and I myself have been trying to do this recently, we have to learn to focus on the things outside of this life, to try to gain a different perspective. Paul told the Colossian church the following: “If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God” (Colossians 3:1, ESV).
