       Nevertheless, the world’s largest earthquake occurs at this point in time, so much so that John says “such as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake.” This quake cause tremendous destruction all over the earth. John notes that the city of Jerusalem is split into three different parts. And he says the rest of the cities of the world also crumble down. All the sky scrapers, the buildings men have built, come tumbling down. And finally, the capital city where the Antichrist rules and reigns, Babylon, will also be destroyed, and even to a further degree (you can read more on this in Revelation 17 & 18). John also informs us that all islands sink and the mountains are leveled out—that’s how great the big earthquake is. This is the ultimate big one; California hasn't seen nothing yet. So, Hawaii will be destroyed. Bermuda will sink. Whatever island you consider, it goes away. And the mountains, from the great Rockies to Mount Everest, are flattened out.
