It’s important that no matter how long we wait for our favorable response, that we are thanking God in the waiting time. Our thankful attitude toward God allows God to work in our lives. Being unthankful and ungrateful, and complaining because we don’t yet have what we feel we should have, prohibits God’s progress toward our request. Verse 35: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” No matter what, nothing can separate us from Christ’s love toward us. Once we become a Christian, we are home free. Nothing we can do, nothing anyone else can do, nothing that can happen, anything you can think of, in all of that nothing can separate us from the love of God.
