I use to be really hard on myself in my life at the times I would make a blunder, a misstep. I would pretty much punish myself for bad choices. Maybe you can relate. Anyway, I have found that I don’t so much regret a wrong move anymore much like I use to. “And why is that?” you might ask. Well, because without making the mistake, there would have been no way for God to teach me certain things. There would have been no way for him to teach me what he wanted to teach me. And I believe this is why at times God allows us to blunder when he could have prevented us from doing so. We may say, “God, why’d you allow me to do that. Why didn’t you step in and stop me?” And the reason is he can make better come out of the wrong choice. This doesn’t mean we’re not responsible. And it doesn’t either mean God condones sin. And not all mistakes are actually sin. But, God can use them greatly for our benefit.
